Nissen Street Vets Wellness Plan Terms & Conditions
Annual Subscriptions & Payments
Nissen Street Vets Wellness Plans are an initiative offering preventative care and treatment to participating pets. This annual subscription provides access to select veterinary services and benefits provided by Nissen Street Veterinary Surgery exclusively and cannot be transferred or used at other clinics.
Separate subscriptions must be purchased for each individual pet.
Cover on any of the Wellness Plans only commences once the enrollment fee and first month subscription is paid.
Further services and benefits under the Plan may only be used if the Direct Debit sign-up has been successfully completed through GoCardless (invite sent through email from <notifications@gocardless.com> with Nissen Street Vet branding).
Subscriptions are direct debited on the 1st of each month for 11 consecutive months. An invite will be sent through a third-party provider, Go Cardless, to sign up to a Wellness Plan. Monthly subscription payments cannot be made via EFT, EFTPOS or any other means. If the pet owner does not want to use the subscription service through GoCardless they have the option to pay the plan out in full at the commencement of the plan.
In the unfortunate situation that the pet dies while on a Wellness Plan, pet owners may request a refund of the subscription fees paid. In these circumstances, the refund amount is calculated depending on the benefits used in the plan at the normal value against the payments made. If the cost of services received is greater than payments made then the pet owner may choose to pay the difference or pay out the rest of the plan, whichever is lesser.
Services cannot be banked, transferred or rolled over past the subscription end date, any payments outstanding at the end of the plan need to be paid in full.
It is the pet owners responsibility to ensure that the direct debits are paid by ensuring sufficient funds are available to direct debit on the first of the month.
Benefits & Services
Vaccinations
Vaccinations included are the entire course of Annual vaccinations that would normally be prescribed for your pet while actively being on a Wellness Plan, Puppy and Kitten vaccinations only include their initial vaccinations and not an annual booster. The vaccinations administered are to be determined by the veterinarian according to the age, health, and vaccination history of the pet and recognized vaccination protocols.
Plans only include 1 annual booster per plan.
Vaccinations that may be prescribed as part of this program provide protection against the following diseases:
- Canine: distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza and bordetella bronchiseptica.
- Feline: Feline Immunodeficiency virus, Feline enteritis, Panleukopaenia, Herpesvirus, Calicivirus and Chlamydiosis.
Rabies and leptospirosis vaccinations are excluded.
Desexing and Dentals
Depending on your Wellness Plan, your pet will be entitled to either desexing or a Scale and Polish.
These services are only available after 6 months of being on the plan OR if the plan is paid in full at enrollment.
Anesthetics, Pre-anesthetic blood test, pain relief and e-collar are all included in the price under the Plan.
Not included are: dental extractions, rechecks or follow up procedures where advise has not been followed or additional services requested while the pet is under anesthetics.
Surcharges will apply where the pet is presented as overweight, in season, with retained testicles or pregnant.
Microchipping & AAR Registration
If the pet on a plan has not previously been microchipped , under the plan they will be entitles to be microchipped and registered through Australasian Animal Registry.
Annual health screens & Diagnostics
Annual health screenings include ONE of each per plan:
- Urine analysis
- Blood screen
- Pre-anaesthetic blood test
- Heartworm test
- FIV test
- Parasite faecal exam
FREE Monthly Consultations
Pets on one of the Wellness Plans are entitled to ONE FREE consult each month and apply to standard consultations. All consultations will require an appointment and are to be scheduled during normal clinic hours.
The free consultations are not eligible during public holidays, after the clinics normal operating hours, house calls, emergency consults or veterinary specialist appointments.
Consults cannot be rolled over and banked to be used in subsequent months.
Unlimited Nail clips & Anal Gland Expression
While on a plan, pets are entitled to unlimited nail clips and anal gland expression. These must be book in and are usually with a nurse.
If you need advise or if you have any concerns about your pet then a consult with a veterinarian will need to be booked.
10% Discount on stocked parasite control, food, merchandise & products
10% discount on all parasite control, pet food (prescription and maintenance diets), merchandise and over the counter products normally stocked or retailed through Nissen Street Vets
5% discount on Medication & Veterinary services*
5% discount on all prescription medication stocked through Nissen Street Vets. These exclude compounded medication or medication not usually stocked.
5% discount Veterinary services is for services performed by Veterinarians and any of the Nissen Street Vet Team and do not include services where a traveling surgeon, specialist or veterinarian not employed by Nissen Street Vet. i.e orthopedic surgery, mobile sonography services, dermatology consults and services or physiotherapy services.
